Equestrian
Hillcrest students are provided with a distinctive opportunity; learning to work with, care for and ride horses at CREST’s very own Ayr Hill Equestrian Centre adjoining the College.
Hillcrest students from Years 5 – 9 can choose this popular timetabled elective and enjoy the challenges of learning about all things equine, from the raw beginner through to the serious interschool competitor.
Students from Years 10 to 12 are able to choose to study the 22513VIC Certificate III in Equine Studies course.
Ayr Hill Equestrian Centre includes amazing facilities including: a 2,600 m2 Covered Sand Arena with an adjoining warm-up arena, two additional sand arenas, a 10 acre Grass Polo field suitable for show jumping, dressage, and mounted games, 10 stables, wash bays and 10 undercover yards, along with classrooms and a comprehensive administration block.

Crest Education Ltd trading as Hillcrest Christian College is a Registered Training organisation (RTO 6441).
Delivered at the adjoining purpose-built Ayr Hill Equestrian Centre is the course 22513VIC Certificate III in Equine Studies.
This 2-year course is offered to both Crest Education students and students from across Victoria.
This is a competency based Nationally Accredited Qualification.
This course of study can contribute to Secondary Students ATAR scores.This course is run with face-to-face weekly sessions on a Wednesday afternoon or as a more flexible option, an online program with face-to-face sessions held during the school holidays.
